On the way to Þingvellir the tour starts with a visit to Gljúfrasteinn where the Nobel Prize winner for Literature in 1955, Halldór Laxness lived with his family. The house has now been converted into a museum where the author’s home is preserved as it was when he lived and worked there. Guided audio tours are available in English, Swedish and German.
After the visit to Gljúfrasteinn the trip continues to Þingvellir National Park. There an experienced guide leads you through all the important places. All in a: healthy, enjoyable an environmentally friendly way. Respect for nature and safety are our main concerns. Þingvellir is the most important place in Icelandic history as well as a geological wonder.
