Sail on the world’s most beautiful voyage a journey like no other. Nothing can compare with it. Nothing about it will resemble anything you have ever experienced before. A ticket for the coastal express is a ticket to the theatre, an 11 day drama in which new acts constantly unfold all around you.

The Coastal Steamers offer a unique combination of comfort and service on board, coupled with constantly renewed impressions of the scenery through which you sail and the harbours you visit.

You’ll witness tender goodbyes on the quayside next to forklifts loaded with cargo. See simple weather-beaten villages where you wouldn’t have thought it possible that anyone could live.

EXCURSIONS On all but one day of the voyage the ship has optional excursions available ranging from a midnight sun concert in Tromso to breakfast ‘on top of the world’ at Nordkap. Not all of them operate on the same dates but we can give you a list of those applicable to your departure date, which you can either pre-book or arrange on board ship.

TAILOR MADE VOYAGES As an alternative to the full voyage itinerary opposite we will happily tailor make a half voyage itinerary for you sailing from Bergen to Kirkenes (or vice versa) or embed a short cruise from say Tromso to Bergen in a shore based holiday programme.

ON BOARD A courier travels with all summer departures, offering advice and assistance. Whilst there is no doctor on-board, officers are trained in first aid and medical assistance can be arranged at the nearest port. All meals are included, and are at set times, usually in one sitting, the majority being buffet-style. Dress on board is informal. Tipping is not expected. Every ship has a bar and a café with service available 24 hours. Currency on board is Norwegian Kroner; credit cards are accepted.

DISCOUNTS Senior Discounts (for those aged 67 or over on date of departure) are available in certain periods. Discounts are also available for groups – ask for details.

EXCURSIONS A complete programme of 11 excursions is available, details of which are available on request. Bookings can be made before departure or on board ship.
