NORTH CAPE ADVENTURES THE MIDNIGHT SUN AT MIDNIGHT

Spend midnight under the Midnight Sun at North Cape, Europe’s most northerly point; take an overnight passage around the top of the Norwegian peninsular to the Russian border and a King Crab Safari fishing for these giant molluscs, some as much as 6' wide. And for each of your five nights of adventure the sun never drops below the horizon.
DAY 1 UK – ALTA Scheduled SAS flight(s) from Heathrow to Alta via Oslo, self transfer to and overnight at the Vica Hotel for 2 nights.
DAY 2 ALTA Day at leisure. Excursion options: Alta Museum, a heritage site with some of the oldest rock carvings in the world. Saami Village visit. Open boat fjord or river trip.
DAY 3 ALTA – HONNINGSVAG -NORTH CAPE Early morning scheduled bus to Honningsvag and check in to the Bryggen Hotel. Afternoon at leisure. Evening excursion by bus to the North Cape to spend midnight under the Midnight Sun returning to your hotel around 1 o’clock.
DAY 4 HONNINGSVAG – KJOLLEFJORD Morning and lunchtime at leisure. Afternoon departure by Hurtigruten Coastal Steamer to Kjollefjord. Guided tour of Foldalbruket, a former fish processing warehouse, dinner and overnight at Foldalbruket.
DAY 5 KJOLLEFJORD – KIRKENES The day is spent on the fjord fishing for giant King Crabs, some with a span of 2 meters, and enjoying the stunning scenery and maybe even spotting some sea eagles. Al fresco lunch on freshly caught king crabs. Late afternoon departure by Hurtigruten for overnight voyage to Kirkenes.
DAY 6 KIRKENES Mid morning arrival. Kirkenes sightseeing with visit to Andergrotta, a Russian Trawler and Storskog on the Russian border. Afternoon river boat tour along the Russian border and visit to Boris Gleb, an icon of Norwegian-Russian border history. Lunch is served during the boat trip. Evening at leisure and overnight at the Arctic hotel.
DAY 7 KIRKENES – UK Self transfer to airport for return flight(s) via Oslo to UK.
