YLLÄSHUMINA 

Family owned by Toivi Quist, a one time Olympic skier, and his wife Meeri, the hotel is a unique log cabin complex with a colony of cabins built in original Finnish style huddled around a central building housing a restaurant, sitting room and bar. Each cabin has 4 beds, 2 of which are on an upper gallery, private WC/shower, telephone, radio, hairdryer and drying cupboard.

LAINIO SNOW HOTEL 

A sort of second life complex made entirely from crystallized water and surrounded by sculptures in the forest in the manner of the Matisses around the Colombe d’Or with snow slides, ice maze ,an ice bar and restaurant all in an inter-connected complex. Accommodation consists of 13 or so igloo rooms and 7 more elaborately decorated suites all with wooden frame beds and warm accommodation as a back up.
