From its mouintanside perch overlooking Hvalfjördur, the Glymur which takes its name from the eponymous waterfall nearby is quirkily stylish hotel with just 22 split level rooms each with a separate sitting room. The lounge, restaurant and public areas are filled with a miscellany of artefacts and objects d`arts collected by the owners. Outside a wooden causeway leads to hot tubs overlooking the fjord where you can relax and listen to the silence of the countryside.
