30 DEC Scheduled Icelandair flight from  Heathrow, Gatwick or Manchester to Reykjavik. Transfer on arrival to Grand Hotel for 4 nights.

9.00 Guided tour around the best of the city's bonfires, blowing out the Old Year in Reykjavik's time-honoured manner. Return to hotel.

11.45 Sparkling wine and canapés on hotel 4th floor balcony for fireworks display and midnight countdown.
12.30 Dancing and live music in the hotel's Gullteigur ballroom
2.00 To bed or bar
1-2 JAN Optional excursions
3 JAN Morning at leisure before transfer, via the Blue Lagoon for a relaxing bathe. Continue to Keflavik for return flight to the UK.

DEC 28 UK – KEFLAVIK-HELLA Scheduled flight to Keflavik, collect hire car & drive (80m) to Hotel Ranga for 2 nights. Signature Scandinavian buffet in hotel.

DEC 29 HELLA At leisure: the coastal road to Vik gives you the option of seeing Skogafoss, Seljandfoss, driving up on to Myrdalsjokull (with 4W drive) and/or down to Dyrholaey. Buffet dinner at hotel.

DEC 30 HELLA – REYKJAVIK Drive to Reykjavik via Gullfoss and Geysir, alongside Pingvellir and into Reykjavik. Check in to Grand Hotel Reykjavik for New Year
